WordPress Jr. Website Developer

Asenka Interactive is a small but growing strategic marketing agency looking to expand our team. We are seeking a creative, organized and reliable individual to assist with digital design and basic WordPress development / maintenance. You would be tasked with everything from routine page maintenance to design and development of a new site with basic functionality. We are willing to train in some areas but you should have a basic grasp and experience in WordPress and Adobe XD or Figma.

To be successful at this position you must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will be working on various projects with different levels of small details, some of which may change mid-project and will need to be accurately tracked and completed. This position will support our internal development team on many projects. Tasks may include content entry, technical updates, new site design / development in WordPress, custom CSS coding, daily task management and prioritization, and client communication.

Must-have Skills:

  • Excellent digital design chops and 1-2 years experience designing for websites in Adobe Photoshop, XD or Figma
  • Solid understanding and 1-2 years experience with WordPress & Mobile responsive themes
  • WordPress theme installation, configuration and mild customization
  • Experience using front end builders such as – WP Bakery, Visual Composer, Divi, Elementor etc…
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for front end design and responsive function
  • Attention to detail & strong client service and communication skills
  • Quick study on existing sites already developed as you’ll be called upon to regularly support these

Bonus Skills (Not required, but please mention if you have them):

  • Experience with Google analytics
  • Proficiency in DNS / URL configurations and various shared and dedicated hosting platforms
  • Working knowledge of Javascript, PHP, Photoshop, jQuery
  • Basic SSL integration
  • Basic understanding of SEO principals
  • Experience with Social API’s and WordPress Plugins
  • Familiarity with cPanel/WHM administration
  • Mac platform experience
We are a Mac-based agency offering temporary work-from-home flexibility though regular hours are expected to be worked on-site in our new New Hope PA studio. Position will require team meetings, direct client communication, reporting time and progress with project manager, reporting and documenting project specifics for training, and attention to client emergencies every now and then.
This is an PT/FT position with a standard schedule from 20-40 hours per week. We are not offering freelance work, finder fees or relocation reimbursement.
