We believe in strategy, we think S.W.O.T. Analysis are integral to a solid plan. We're in support of a pre-defined position prior to developing a brand. We would never advocate moving forward without a marketing plan. All that said, what some people need before they can advance a project is a detailed tactical marketing plan that outlines exactly what steps need to be taken to achieve a certain initiative.
We begin the process by reviewing your business situation including high-level objectives and goals. We review your product and customer portfolio and do a S.W.O.T analysis. From there we establish a set of priorities for the marketing efforts as defined by your business needs. The finished tactical plan defines target markets and services as they relate to each of your business objectives. We then develop a tactical punch list of steps that need to be taken to accomplish each initiative. Each market may have 10 or more avenues to message them and each one is detailed out in executable steps.
This plan is a deliverable within itself. The plan can be reviewed, refined and you can decide what elements you want to do, which ones others in your staff will help with, and what others need outside vendor support. In most cases we help support the execution of some of the tasks on the list, but undoubtedly there are some that are better suited for in-house people to do.
The plan is not designed to sell more of our services, but for you to sell your services. There are commonly many initiatives included that may benefit you, but that we are not even suited to execute. Often times existing personal or client relationships can be leveraged which is better suited for the client themselves to manage. The bottom line for you is the job gets done. This is an invaluable guidebook to keep you focused and continually refer to all year – and beyond.
